Students Rank Lecture Capture 'Most Important' Blended Learning Resource

DULLES, VA--(Marketwire - Jun 7, 2011) - Echo360, the global leader in campus-wide blended learning and lecture capture solutions, today released a paper entitled 'The Student View of Blended Learning.' The paper reveals that students selected Lecture Capture as the 'most important blended learning technology resource,' followed by 'Course/Learning Management Systems' and 'Smartboards & Projectors.' Eighty-four percent of respondents said they would like to see institutions expand the use of blended learning while 86 percent responded that it increases their understanding of course material.

Presented with the choice to use blended learning and lecture capture technology, nine out of every ten students did so. Eighty-six percent of students were full time and 35 percent of them attended a combination of online and on campus courses. Seventy-seven percent were undergraduates, while 21 percent were seeking advanced degrees.
