Second Quarter 2011 Results and Conference Call Monday 18 July 2011

Metro International S.A. ("Metro"), the international newspaper group, will
announce on Monday 18 July 2011 at 8:00 A.M. CET its financial results for the
second quarter ended 30 June 2011. Metro will host a conference call to present
these results at 10:00 A.M. CET on the same day which will be broadcast live on
