(Pink Sheets:EGAM) today announced that its Board of Directors has approved a change in the name of the company to Entertainment Games, Inc., effective immediately. Entertainment Games will continue to trade under the symbol (Pink Sheets:EGAM).
The new name reflects the company's commitment to developing innovative games for rapidly emerging social game platforms, including Facebook, Google +, tablets, and mobile devices. The name change follows recent announcements of the company's purchase of Heyday Games, a developer of cross-platform social game content, and its recruitment of top engineering, design, animation and music talent to develop new intellectual property. Today's announcement makes Entertainment Games one of the only publicly-traded social game companies in the market.
