Inc. Magazine Names Fierce, Inc. to Its Annual 500|5000 List for the Second Time

Company Ranks No. 4010 on the 2011 Inc. 500|5000

SEATTLE, WA, Aug. 24, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Fierce, Inc., a world-class leadership development and training company that drives results for businesses by developing conversation as a skill, today announced that Inc. magazine ranked 4,010 on its fifth annual Inc. 500|5000 list, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy--America’s independent entrepreneurs. This is the second year that Fierce has been named to the Inc. 500|5000 list, and joins Spirit Airlines, television maker Vizio, Honest Tea, and Dunkin Brands, among other prominent companies featured on this year’s list.

In a stagnant economic environment, median growth rate of 2011 Inc. 500|5000 companies remains an impressive 94 percent. The companies on this year’s list report having created 350,000 jobs in the past three years, and aggregate revenue among the honorees reached $366 billion, up 14 percent from last year.

Despite the slow economic recovery, Fierce has shown strong growth throughout 2011, as businesses increasingly turn to the company’s training modules to improve employee engagement and productivity. Major corporations, including Costco, Dunkin Brands, New York Life Insurance, and Raytheon, have implemented Fierce Conversations training in their organizations. Companies including Crate and Barrel and logistics and supply chain provider HAVI Global Solutions have expanded their Fierce training programs. Recently Fierce launched its new Virtual Instructor-Led Training solution, Fierce Conversations O2, to meet increasing demand for distance learning. In addition to being named to the Inc. 500|5000 list, the company has been recognized by Training Magazine as a 2011 Top Company to Watch, and was named to Seattle Business Magazine’s 2011 100 Best Places to Work for in Washington.

"The Inc. 500|5000 list represents the strongest, most innovative companies in the United States, and we strive to attain that strength and innovation every day," said Halley Bock, CEO of Fierce. "At Fierce, we not only understand the importance of clear and candid communication in the workplace, we practice what we preach. By fostering an environment of authenticity, accountability, and engagement, we have continued to thrive. This recognition reaffirms our mission, inspires us as an organization to carry on the momentum, and to continue to lead by example."

The Inc. 500|5000 list recognizes U.S.-based, privately held, for-profit, independent companies that have shown the strongest revenue growth between 2007 and 2010, driving our economy through the recession. This year’s honorees will be recognized at the Inc. 500|5000 Conference and Award Ceremony, September 22-24, 2011, at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Complete results of the Inc. 5000, including company profiles and an interactive database that can be sorted by industry, region, and other criteria, can be found at www.inc.com/5000.
