Omnitek Engineering Appoints Pennsylvania Truck Dealership as Exclusive Installer of Its Diesel-to-Natural-Gas Conversion Systems

Fuel Savings and Abundant Supply of Natural Gas in Region Expected to Spur Demand

SAN MARCOS, Calif., Sept. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Omnitek Engineering Corporation (OTCQB:OMTK) today announced it has appointed W.W Engine & Supply, Inc., based in Pennsylvania, as its exclusive dealer and authorized installer for the company's diesel-to-natural gas conversion kits in the state.

"W.W. Engine's extensive presence in Pennsylvania, which includes several truck dealerships and service centers in a state with more than 150,000 heavy-duty trucks in operation, provides a solid platform for growth and will facilitate a broad-scale introduction of Omnitek's technology in other states across the United States," said Werner Funk, president and chief executive officer of Omnitek Engineering Corporation.

He noted a recent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency ruling, which clarifies and streamlines conversion system certification, complements the company's strategic agreement with W.W. Engine and enables Omnitek to certify and convert diesel engines in a cost-effective manner.

Funk also highlighted Pennsylvania's rapidly growing infrastructure that offers easy access to natural gas supplied by the Marcellus Shale Gas Field, an energy source estimated to be the second largest natural gas reserve in the world and possibly the single most important economic stimulant in the history of Pennsylvania.

"Converting diesel engines to operate on either liquefied natural gas or compressed natural gas provides an economical and exciting option for our customer base. We look forward to representing Omnitek and its proprietary engine conversion technology, with a primary focus being on-road heavy-duty trucks and off-road mine equipment," said John P. Niebauer, president and chief executive officer of W.W. Engine & Supply, Inc..

Funk added that Omnitek's conversion technology offers a projected return on investment of less than two years. He noted that Omnitek's technology has been utilized outside the United States since 2001, with more than 5,000 engine conversions currently in operation. "The technology can meet all applicable emission standards and we anticipate tremendous demand for Omnitek's conversion kits in Pennsylvania and throughout the United States as our expansion continues," Funk said.

The signing of the agreement with W. W. Engine was facilitated by Seraph Energy, L.L.C., which serves as Omnitek's exclusive marketing agent for the company's diesel-to-natural gas conversion kits in Pennsylvania.
