WATERTOWN, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 20, 2011) - The Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts, a nonprofit organization focused on worksite health promotion, announced its first board of directors.
"We are delighted to be reaching this milestone of establishing our full governance structure for the organization," said Mari Ryan, Board Chair for the council.
The Worksite Wellness Council of Massachusetts Board officers are: Chair, Mari Ryan of AdvancingWellness; Vice Chair, Kristie Howard of Longfellow Benefits; Secretary, Susan Janetos of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts; and Treasurer, Robin Benoit of Genzyme Corporation.
Other board members include Clare Densmore of the Massachusetts Hospital Association; Alyssa Holzman of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts; Jennifer Babineau of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center; Holly Cochrane of ZOLL Medical Corporation; James Tierney of Covidien; and Kathleen Downes, Human Resource Consultant.
In addition to the members of the Board of Directors, over 30 volunteers are members of the organization's committees. The Wellness Council holds monthly meetings on topics related to worksite health-promotion programs.
