KERRY, IRELAND and ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Sep 20, 2011) - Dairymaster, an Ireland-based manufacturer and supplier of advanced automated milking, feeding, cooling, slurry and heat detection equipment to dairy farms worldwide, today announced that it has tripled its US footprint by moving to a new facility in Cincinnati. The additional space equips the company to meet growing demand from US dairy producers for its high-performance equipment. Fueling the growth is widespread adoption of Dairymaster's Select Detect product by dairy producers in the US and Canada. Select Detect is a detection and fertility monitoring system that is sold exclusively in the US by Select Sires Inc., the largest A.I. company in North America. Today, Select Detect systems are installed in 22 states and four Canadian Provinces, covering herds that range in size from 80 cows to more than 3,000.
The announcement coincides with an Enterprise Ireland-supported trade mission to three South East States that will be led by Ireland's Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton. Enterprise Ireland is the government organization responsible for the development and growth of Irish businesses in world markets.
From its US headquarters in Cincinnati, Dairymaster maintains a national network of dealers and has built a large base of US customers. This includes Select Sires' network of 10 farmer-owned cooperatives. Central to its offerings is a focus on research and development, and a commitment to increasing the performance of its equipment through cutting-edge technology innovation.
The company continually enhances its products, adding advanced technology that measures, monitors and analyzes performance of the milking parlor in order to make dairy farming more profitable by reducing long-term costs and labor inputs. Its most popular products in the US are the Swiftflo Swing and Swiftflo Revolver Rotary milking parlors due to the unique performance, cow comfort and efficiency advantages from the Dairymaster milking system.
Dr. Ray Nebel, V.P. of Technical Service Programs at Select Sires, commented, "We have seen exceptional results with the Select Detect System that have exceeded our expectations."
The US market is a priority for Dairymaster according to the company's Technical Director, Dr. Edmond Harty. "Dairy Producers in the US appreciate our equipment for its technology sophistication and the fact that the company focuses on improving profitability and sustainability in dairy farming while increasing the enjoyment factor. Now through our valued partnership with Select Sires, we can also equip them with the industry's best fertility management system."
This October at the World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin Dairymaster will release the Select Detect new mobile app, the first of its kind in the industry which allows dairy producers to monitor fertility data directly on their phone.
