Room 77 Introduces Hotel Room Search in Asia; Adds More Destinations in Europe

Users Can Now Search and Share Room Information in Hong Kong, Paris and Frankfurt

GUANGZHOU, CHINA and MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 22, 2011) - Room 77, the world's first hotel search engine to reveal room-specific details, today announced travelers can now search properties and rooms in Hong Kong, Paris and Frankfurt. The addition of these markets increases the Room 77 database to 560,000 rooms in 32 cities. Hotels in these new destinations can be accessed on Room77.com and through the Room 77 mobile app available on most iPhone and Android phones.

"Room 77 is building a new type of hotel search engine to help travelers find the best hotels and rooms to meet their specific needs around the globe," said Kevin Fliess, general manager of Room 77, who announced the expansion during a presentation at Travel Daily's China Travel Distribution Summit. "We've doubled our destinations since our February debut and will continue to add more markets and functionality to offer travelers a better search experience with more control to land a great room."

No other online travel site breaks down hotels by room number, including important details like square footage, bed type, distance from elevator and whether its adjoining or not. Room 77 sorts rooms based on a traveler's preferences and simulates the actual Room View using proprietary 3D mapping technology. In addition, Room 77 also offers travelers "inside tips" to help find the best room for them. For example at The Langham Hong Kong, Room 77 advises even-numbered rooms ending in 02 to 08 on floors 10 and higher offer the best views. At the Hilton Frankfurt Hotel, if you opt for a Deluxe King, Room 77 suggests you try to land a corner room, which are considerably larger than others in the same category. And, at the Sofitel Paris La Defense, classic double rooms on floors 7 and 8 (e.g. Room 816) have the best views of the surrounding city and its skyline.

Room 77 is directly working with hundreds of hotels and chains around the globe to verify room data. This data is also accessible through the Room 77 mobile app on iPhone and Android, which also serves as a valuable tool for travelers at check in. A traveler simply enters the room number provided by the front desk clerk, and the Room 77 app will instantly advise if they should "take" or "leave" the room along with other room options.

Room 77 also has concentrated room data available in Atlanta; Austin, Texas; Boston; Chicago; Denver; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Honolulu; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; London (UK); Maui, Hawaii; Miami; Minneapolis; Montreal; New Orleans; New York; Orange County, Calif.; Orlando; Palm Springs, Calif.; Philadelphia; Phoenix/Scottsdale; Portland, Ore.; San Diego; San Francisco; San Jose / Silicon Valley, Calif.; Seattle; Toronto; Vancouver, Canada; and Washington, DC.
