CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Sep 26, 2011) - On October 12, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Cambridge will present an Innovation Series event: "The New Game: How Technology Innovation is Changing How We Experience Sports." This timely discussion -- with the Patriots, Celtics and NHL Champion Bruins all in action -- will explore the trends in the intersection of sports and technology that are changing the way we interact with our favorite sporting events. In addition to an all-star list of speakers, the event will highlight four innovative early stage sports technology startups.
The evening will start with short demos from early stage companies that include:
- StarStreet, an online site characterized as "the sports stock market;"
- TruMedia Networks, developing tier one sports analytics solutions;
- UberSense, helping athletes and coaches improve their game;
- numberFire, enabling accurate predictions for Fantasy Football.
The high profile list of speakers includes:
- Rich Gotham, Team President of the Boston Celtics;
- Michael DiLorenzo, Senior Director of Social Media Marketing and Strategy and Business Communications for the National Hockey League;
- Fred Kirsch, Publisher and Vice President of Content at Kraft Sports Productions (owners of the New England Patriots)
- The moderator for the panel will be Eric Fisher, Technology and Digital Media Writer for the Sports Business Journal
