CHICAGO, Sept. 30, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IOCOM, a leading video conferencing and collaboration software provider, announced their plans for a large presence at the Interop Conference in New York, October 5-6, as well as the Second Annual VCI Group Conference in New Orleans, October 10-12.
IOCOM will be showcasing Visimeet 2.0, the newest version of the company's leading unified communications software. IOCOM's revolutionary video conferencing and collaboration platform has been enhanced to allow users without PC administration rights to install Visimeet to greatly enhance personal and business communications. The look and feel has also seen some changes making it simpler and contained (??) but will be very familiar to current users. Visimeet 2.0 also has improved performance and interoperability capabilities.
"As a software company, we have the ability to continue to develop to the rapidly changing needs of the enterprise. In these difficult economic times, delivering a single, low-cost, unified platform with complete interoperability is crucial to our expanding customer base," noted Tim Hackett, CEO of IOCOM. "Visimeet 2.0 redefines the term unified communications."
The theme at Interop New York 2011 is "See the Future at Interop." IOCOM believes the future is now and is exhibiting state of the art unified communications capabilities in booth #544 at the Javits Convention Center in New York, October 5-6.
The following week, IOCOM heads to New Orleans to demonstrate at the Second Annual VCI-Group conference at the Sheraton Hotel in New Orleans. The theme for the VCI-Group conference is "It's All About the Experience." "Our primary development focus since our inception has been the user experience, so to be able to showcase our newest software as All About the Experience makes this an exciting event for us," said Jon Swanson, Chief Technology Officer at IOCOM.
In addition to demonstrations at booth #305 at VCI Group, Tim Hackett, CEO of IOCOM, will be presenting "Stroke of Genius: Better Clinical Decisions through Innovative Communication" with Alan Lowe, formerly of the National Health Service in Great Britain. Their session will take place at 3:20-4:10 PM locally on Tuesday October 11. This session focuses on the benefits of using advanced video conferencing software in hospitals for stroke care. "I am pleased to be able to participate from the UK using IOCOM Visimeet software to share the incredible successes we have achieved in emergency response to stroke victims. We are proud of the e-Health Insider award we received, but we are so thankful for the opportunity to let people know how many lives can be saved using this technology in critical care," commented Mr. Lowe.
