GelTech Solutions Adds Experience to Team

JUPITER, Fla., Oct. 3, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GelTech Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:GLTC), creators of FireIce, a revolutionary water enhancing fire suppressant that has the potential to change current firefighting techniques globally, is excited to announce that Edward Kleiman and Sam DiGiovanna have joined the Company as Corporate Wildland Operations Coordinator and West Coast Regional Operations Coordinator, respectively.

Mr. Kleiman comes to GelTech Solutions with eight years of United States Forest Service (USFS) background from the USFS headquarters in Missoula, MT. After his distinguished service to the Government, Mr. Kleiman spent the next 11 years on the fire line in almost every region of the United States in a variety of fire line management roles. Most recently, he served as Federal Contract Coordinator for a competing gel product, where he managed blanket purchase agreements, and developed Emergency Rental Agreements with Federal Agencies.

Joseph Ingarra, President of GelTech Solutions, stated, "We believe Ed's experience will positively impact our team. He has a deep understanding of how the forestry marketplace operates on both the front and back ends. We believe his expertise in federal contracting and product procurement will significantly enhance our ability to penetrate this market. The ability to have Ed lead our direction in this marketplace should enable us to service and market to the wildland firefighting industry in a much quicker and more efficient manner."

Mr. Kleiman stated that, "Each season I see equipment and dollars stretched to their limits, while unpredictable droughts and weather catch us off guard. FireIce took time solving past problems, and maintains constant feedback with the field to meet the challenges of tomorrow. It's rare to feel comfortable with new products in wildland fire situations and FireIce fits like a glove." Mr. Kleiman also noted, "I've worked with a number of products over the last 18 years. FireIce is the only product I've come across that doesn't have the limitations the other suppression products have, FireIce has solved the workability issues."

Mr. Sam DiGiovanna brings 34 years of fire service and industry experience to GelTech Solutions and most recently retired as the Chartis Wildfire Protection Unit Fire Chief.

Mr. DiGiovanna was responsible for the day to day operations of Chartis Wildfire Protection Unit (WPU) including but not limited to: managing WPU Field Personnel during both wildfire prevention consultations and during emergency response.

Mr. DiGiovanna stated that, "I've been involved in the fire industry for over 34 years and I've see a lot of products. I believe FireIce has the ability to revolutionize the fire fighting industry more than any other product I've seen."

Michael Cordani, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Company, stated,  "The new additions of both Ed and Chief Sam will be a great fit and bring a wealth of fire industry experience, knowledge and contacts. The understanding and wisdom they bring to our organization cannot be understated."
