Exide Technologies Appoints Bruce Cole to Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development


MILTON, Ga., Oct. 19, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Exide Technologies (Nasdaq:XIDE), a global leader in stored electrical energy, announced the appointment of Bruce Cole as Executive Vice President, Strategy and Business Development effective November 18, 2011.

Since January 2011, Cole has been president, Exide Americas Region. In his new role, Cole will report to Jim Bolch, Exide president and chief executive officer and continue to be a member of the Exide Executive Leadership Team.

Prior to being named president, Exide Americas, Cole spent 22 years with Exide in multiple leadership roles including, vice president and general manager, Americas recycling operations; vice president, marketing, Global Industrial Energy; and vice president, manufacturing and engineering for the Industrial Energy Americas division.
