IRVINE, CA and STORRS, CT--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2011) - Paciolan, the leading provider of ticketing, marketing, and fundraising solutions in college athletics, announced today that the University of Connecticut ("UConn") has renewed its partnership for an additional five years with the company and will be implementing Paciolan's Digital Ticketing Solutions to include the Access Management platform. UConn has been a Paciolan client since 1992.
During the 2010-11 season, UConn was the first institution to participate in a BCS bowl game and play in the Final Four for both men's and women's basketball. The Huskies defeated Butler to earn the 2011 men's basketball national championship. In fact, since 1995, UConn has won a combined 10 national championships in men's and women's basketball.
"Paciolan has been our home for 20 years, managing all of our ticket sales and donor relations programs with their innovative solutions," said Paul Pendergast, interim director of athletics for the University of Connecticut. "We're excited to be continuing our partnership by adding Digital Ticketing, which will efficiently streamline our ticketing process, while providing enhanced services to our customers."
With the implementation of Paciolan's Digital Ticketing, Husky fans will be able to print tickets purchased online at home, avoid will call lines on game day, utilize ticket transfer and use a new secondary ticketing marketplace. Leveraging the Paciolan system, UConn achieved 100 percent online ticket sales for basketball student season tickets. Access Management will allow the student ticketing process to be completely digital, eliminating paper-based tickets, which UConn plans to execute in the future.
UConn has also achieved significant success with its online renewals, including 50 percent of all football season tickets being renewed online this season. "We work side by side with our Paciolan client partner, implementing best practices to enhance customer satisfaction and to sell more tickets online," said Kyle Kravchuk, assistant director of athletics for ticket operations at the University of Connecticut.
"It's exciting to be continuing our 20-year partnership with a national champion and athletics powerhouse such as UConn," said Dave Butler, chief executive officer of Paciolan. "We look forward to extending their technology portfolio to include Access Management and Digital Ticketing, which will allow them to better serve season ticket holders, fans and donors. We are thrilled to continue to work with UConn to continue to offer world-class ticketing, marketing and fundraising services to Husky fans."
