(www.krclassaction.com) announces that it is investigating claims that Starbucks Corp. overcharged its customers for purchases of coffee beans sold in Starbucks stores (but not through grocery stores or other outlets) by charging an undisclosed fee for purchases of less than one pound of beans. The Seattle Times has reported that: "After being fined in Massachusetts, Starbucks says it has stopped charging a $1.50 fee for customers buying less than a pound of coffee in its stores." The Massachusetts Attorney General found that Starbucks charged customers buying less than one pound of coffee at a Starbucks store an extra fee of $1.50 that was not disclosed either on signs or by Starbucks staff. The extra $1.50 just appeared on customers' receipts without explanation.
