WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - Nov 21, 2011) - AlliedBarton Security Services, www.alliedbarton.com, the industry's premier provider of highly trained security personnel, announces the recognition of J. Michael Coleman, Vice President of Commercial Real Estate; Daman Toth, Vice President of Operations; and Tracy Seymour, Business Development Manager, by the Apartment and Office Building Association of Metropolitan Washington as 2011 AOBA Volunteer Leaders.
AlliedBarton's employees were the only security professionals on the AOBA list. The trio has raised funds for local charities, trained other volunteers for special events and helped to organize the BOMA 2011 conference in Washington, DC.
Each year, AOBA recognizes outstanding AOBA members and public sector partners for their volunteer contributions to the industry and their tireless support of AOBA's mission through education, training, management, administration and legislation.
"We are all honored to be recognized by AOBA as 2011 Volunteer Leaders," said Coleman. "It really is a team effort and none of this could be done by just one individual. I would like to thank all AOBA members and the AlliedBarton local teams who have contributed to making all events successful."
"As business professionals, it is our intrinsic responsibility to reinvest in the community through various channels," said Toth. "Professional associations, such as AOBA, provide one channel for this reinvestment. I encourage all business and community leaders alike to find viable channels to reach the people and neighborhoods in which we work, live and play."
"AlliedBarton and AOBA work well together to help accomplish the association's objectives, which include undertaking projects that give back significantly to the community and recognize excellence in the local real estate industry," said Seymour. "This group of volunteer leaders has done so much over the past year and I am honored to work with such a distinct group who makes a difference in our community."
Award winners were recognized at the Leadership & Volunteer Tribute on Tuesday, November 15, at the Capital Hilton Washington.
In the DC area, AlliedBarton employs more than 1,900 security officers. AlliedBarton offices are located in Arlington, VA and Silver Spring, MD, and in early 2012 a new office will be opening in Washington, DC.
