GelTech Solutions Receives Approval for Use of FireIce(R) in Australia & New Zealand -- Signs Master Distribution Agreement With Leading International Company


JUPITER, Fla., Dec. 6, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- GelTech Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:GLTC), creators of FireIce, a revolutionary water enhancing fire suppressant that has the potential to change current firefighting techniques globally, today is announcing the listing of FireIce on the Australian and New Zealand Qualified Products List and signing of IMCD Group B.V. (IMCD) to be the master distributor of FireIce for Australia and New Zealand.

The Australasian Fire and Emergency Service Authority Council (AFAC) in conjunction with the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) has listed FireIce on its Qualified Products List (QPL) which will allow first responder agencies to purchase and use FireIce for combating fires in their respective regions. AFAC was established in 1993 and has 30,000 career workers and over 200,000 volunteers. AFAC's membership is derived from organizations that are responsible for the delivery of land management, community safety, emergency services or emergency support services.

GelTech Solutions has entered into a distribution agreement with IMCD, a leading company in sales, marketing and distribution of food ingredients and specialty chemicals. IMCD is headquartered in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has annual revenues of €1 billion and employs over 1000 professionals in 35 countries. For the five-year term of the agreement, IMCD will be the exclusive distributor of FireIce in Australia and New Zealand, subject to meeting defined annual product purchase minimums.
