SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - Dec 6, 2011) - This February thousands of spectators will be quickly and easily checked in at the PGA TOUR's 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am to benefit Monterey Peninsula Foundation (MFP) using Vendini's mobile ticketing platform.
More than just a platform for purchasing, scanning and redeeming tickets onsite, Vendini has created a complete ticketing solution for MPF that includes everything from ticket purchases to social media tie-ins. Vendini will even be providing the nonprofit with the iPod Touches needed to scan tickets at the three courses where the tournament will take place. All MPF will need for onsite ticketing and event access will be its volunteers and WiFi. The volunteers will be able to accept donations and scan guest tickets purchased at the event or online at http://www.attpbgolf.com/tournament/tickets.
Vendini is also helping to drive additional ticket sales through its social media capabilities, which allow customers to post information about the tournament on their Facebook pages and other social sites encouraging their friends to attend as well. MPF also uses Vendini's email marketing capabilities to reach out to its supporters and create awareness that ultimately sells more tickets.
"Vendini's mobile ticketing along with its social media and email marketing expertise has helped us grow the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am," says Cindy Minor, Tournament Ticket Manager of MPF. "We've used their solutions for three years and Vendini has been instrumental in our event success with more convenient ticketing for patrons, shorter lines and easy to use technology."
"We are honored to once again be asked to handle ticketing needs for the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am for the Monterey Peninsula Foundation," says Mark Tacchi, Vendini CEO and Founder. "Vendini's system is designed to accommodate a variety of different needs that a client like MPF has when organizing an event of this size and scope."
The money raised at the 2012 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am will benefit hundreds of nonprofit organizations. To date, the Monterey Peninsula Foundation has raised more than $94 million, and expects the 2012 event to take it over the $100 million mark. The Foundation is committed to funding organizations and programs that demonstrate the greatest positive effect. The Foundation is guided in grant making by specific areas of interest that include: youth, education, health, human services, arts, community and environmental programs.
