Littleton, Mass., Dec. 16, 2011 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- New England manufacturers (OEMS) seeking local partners for sheet metal fabrication and supply chain solutions can look no further. Less than eight weeks after the first wall came down in a facility that had lain idle since 2009, ETM Manufacturing today announced that its 43,000-square foot environmentally friendly facility is open and in full production. For New England OEMS the news is welcome, as commodity price fluctuations, global economic instability and demand uncertainty make partnering locally an imperative strategy for building more flexible, responsive supply chains.
ETM Manufacturing’s $500,000 facility renovation focused on bringing the widest range of sheet metal fabrication, machining and assembly services and custom supply chain solutions to New England. The state-of-the-art facility catapults ETM Manufacturing into the Top 10 providers, quadrupling the capacity it offers customers in industrial, medical, telecommunications, and energy product manufacturing.

The operation provides:
- 14,400 sq. ft. for sheet metal fabrication in four manufacturing cells. Each cell will include a turret punch or laser, two press brakes and supporting fabrication equipment able to produce, on average, one part every 30 seconds.
- 3,200 sq. for CNC machining centers currently, with expansion capability of quadrupling capacity.
- 3,200 sq. ft. for kitting and mechanical assembly as well as an internal Kan-Ban location for ETM’s configure-to-order business.
- 14,400 sq. ft. for a line of configure-to-order bakery transportation racks.
- 1,200 sq. ft. for design and development support in the critical stage of new product introduction.
- An additional 3,200 sq. ft. for additional in-house plating and powder-coating services.
