Exide Technologies Appoints Carla Chaney to Executive Vice President, Human Resources


MILTON, Ga., Feb. 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Exide Technologies (Nasdaq:XIDE), a global leader in stored electrical energy, announces the appointment of Carla Chaney as Executive Vice President, Human Resources.

Since 2010, Chaney has been Group Vice President, Human Resources, Newell Rubbermaid, Inc. In her new role, Chaney will report to Jim Bolch, Exide president and chief executive officer, and be a member of the Exide Executive Leadership team.

Prior to being named Group Vice President, Human Resources for Newell Rubbermaid, Chaney served in multiple Human Resources leadership roles at Newell Rubbermaid, Georgia Pacific and Mohawk Paper Mills, Inc.
