LOS ANGELES, Feb. 22, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gary Townsend, who has a collective 48 years of experience in local, state and national politics, has become a partner at Englander Knabe & Allen, the largest independent public relations agency based in Los Angeles.
Townsend recently retired as Chief Deputy Assessor for Los Angeles County after 22 years, having worked for the last four Assessors. Townsend's experience goes as far back as 1964 when he worked for U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater at the 1964 Republican National Convention and in 1968 as an elected delegate for U.S. Senator Robert F. Kennedy at the Democratic National Convention in Chicago. At the same time, he served as Cal State LA Student Body President.
With more than four decades in the California political arena, Townsend has developed an understanding of how to get the job done within the myriad of political and governmental networks.
