DAYTON, Ohio, Feb. 27, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- MacAulay-Brown, Inc. U.S. Patent Application 132348-00212, entitled the "Alternative Bases Processing (ABP) for Arrays of Numerical Data," opens up new dimensions in signal processing and data compression that can be used in the intelligence and medical imaging communities, among others. The development of the technology is the result of internal research and development focused on improving the state of the art in signal processing.
Developed primarily by Dr. Vahid R. Riasati of MacB’s Advanced Technology Group, the invention offers great potential to process very small signals in the presence of other larger signals, perform feature extraction, pattern recognition, pattern classification, automatic target recognition, face and finger print recognition and processing for the purposes of image and/or data compression.
