This certification is a result of demonstrating full compliance with local environmental regulatory agencies and taking action to conserve resources and protect the environment. vCom will be honored in a recognition ceremony before the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in April.

But the biggest change that vCom made was converting its paper billing of customers, which used 13,000 pieces of paper monthly, to an electronic billing process. One of the biggest challenges they faced in doing this was the initial resistance by customers to receiving paperless bills. They worked with clients to provide custom reports to make their accounting processes easier, and ultimately all of their customers felt that they got the data they needed more efficiently after the transition to paperless.
