WHAT:
The Algal Biomass Organization is convening an educational briefing on Capitol Hill for policymakers, agency representatives and staffers on the benefits of algae for domestic fuel production, job creation and national security. The briefing will include presentations and exhibits from several leading algae companies.

WHY:
Ever since President Obama mentioned algae as a promising source of biofuel, interest in algae has spiked. This briefing will educate attendees on algae, provide updates on commercialization efforts from industry leaders, and make the case for continued investment in the industry.
