Change in the number of shares and votes in Sandvik AB

As a result of the share issue in kind implemented by Sandvik AB following the
expiry of the extended acceptance period in the takeover offer to the
shareholders of Seco Tools AB, the number of shares and votes in the company has
increased by 1,208,774. As per 29 February 2012, the total number of shares and
votes in the company consequently amounts to 1,254,385,923. As per the same
date, the company’s share capital amounts to SEK 1,505,263,107.60.
