GREENWICH, CT--(Marketwire - Mar 22, 2012) - Fieldpoint Private, the fast-growing wealth advisory and private banking firm serving ultra high net worth families and institutions, announced today that Robert Rigoroso has joined the firm's New York office as a Managing Director. Mr. Rigoroso comes to the firm from Bank of America's U.S. Trust unit, where he advised on $1.5 billion in wealth for approximately 100 large families and institutional clients.
Having made the move from one of the most established wealth management firms, Mr. Rigoroso said he believes the contrast with Fieldpoint Private could not be clearer. "Fieldpoint has built what every client I know would build if they were putting together their own family office," he said. "It's all there -- unbiased investment advice, lending, cash management, performance reporting on the client's entire financial picture, and a thought process that respects how interdependent these elements are."
According to Robert S. Matthews, President and CEO of Fieldpoint Private, professionals such as Mr. Rigoroso are among the key reasons the firm has grown more than ten-fold, to nearly $3 billion in assets under administration, in the past year. "We have always gotten a lot of attention for how we were founded," Matthews said, referring to the high-profile group that put the firm together in 2008, several of whom had led some of the world's largest financial firms. "But most impressive to me right now is how we're being found today. Top-notch advisors like Rob are finding their way to Fieldpoint because they can see it was built from the ground up to put their clients first."
Mr. Rigoroso's 20-plus year financial career has spanned commercial real estate investment and operations, corporate cash management and structured lending, and all aspects of wealth management including asset allocation, lending, trust and estate services, and cash management for large families and institutional clients. Prior to U.S. Trust he served as a Private Banker with The Citigroup Private Bank, and before that as a commercial banker with Bank of New York (now Bank of New York/Mellon), focusing on the needs of middle-market businesses. He began his banking career with Citigroup, in the firm's commercial real estate and corporate banking units.
