Mekonomen mobilises for further expansion


Mekonomen is adapting its organisation for future expansion, and for the new
structure resulting from the acquisition of Sørensen og Balchen. The new
organisation has also been adapted for an incorporation of Meca, although this
acquisition is conditional on approval by the Norwegian competition authority.
“The new organisation will provide us with a structure that better reflects the
size of our company and the journey we have ahead of us,” says Håkan Lundstedt,
President and CEO of Mekonomen.

The Mekonomen Group’s current CFO, Gunilla
Spongh, will become International Business Director for the Group, thus holding
a key role in an international venture.

Per Hedblom, currently M&A Director,
will become the Mekonomen Group’s new CFO. Per Hedblom has been employed at
Mekonomen since 2007.

Petter Torp, formerly MD of Mekonomen Norway, will
become the MD for Mekonomen Nordic, which comprises Mekonomen Norway, Mekonomen
Sweden, Mekonomen Finland, Mekonomen Fleet/Marine and Mekonomen Wholesale
operation. Frank Bekken will become the new MD of Mekonomen Norway. Frank Bekken
has been employed at Mekonomen Norway since the company was founded in Norway in
1999 and was previously the COO.

Lars From, MD of Mekonomen Denmark, will
continue to report to the CEO, Håkan Lundstedt.

The new organisation will
apply from today, 3 April 2012.
