Two track and field meets at NCAA Division I schools this weekend will take place on Mondotracks

GAINESVILLE, Fla. and TEMPE, Ariz., April 5, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Athletes at two outdoor track and field meets at NCAA Division I universities this weekend will have something in common underfoot: Mondotrack, the official track of the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the track of the 2012 London Olympics.

One of the nation's premier track and field meets, the Florida Relays will be held on the famed Percy Beard Track at University of Florida's James G. Pressly Stadium in Gainesville. The Sun Angel Classic will take place at Arizona State University's Sun Angel Stadium on its Joe Selleh Track in Tempe. Both meets are April 6-7.

Made by Mondo, the global leader in the sports flooring market, Mondotrack provides the optimum blend of speed, safety and comfort for both high-speed competition and training. It converts the maximum amount of force generated by athletes' foot strikes to energy for maximum energy return, which helps athletes achieve faster times compared to running on other surfaces. More than 230 world records have been set on Mondo tracks.
