BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - Apr 16, 2012) - San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) Director, Smart Grid, Lee Krevat will be a featured panelist at DNV KEMA Energy & Sustainability's fifth annual Utility of the Future Leadership Forum, "Pathway to Excellence." Krevat will serve as an expert on the panel titled "Innovation and the Future" at the DNV KEMA forum, May 14-16, 2012, at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC.
Krevat will share his perspective on the future of smart grid and its technologies, while highlighting the challenges and accomplishments that have been faced thus far in the industry.
"The energy industry is one of the last to be significantly transformed by technology, but the time has come," said Krevat. "Utilities are deploying meters that provide data in near real-time versus once per month, customers are investing in solar panels for their rooftops in record numbers, electric vehicle sales are ramping up, and utilities are working hard to adapt to these changes while ensuring reliability. Energy independence, significant improvements to the environment, and customer choice and control are around the corner. This is the industry to be in!"
The 2012 Utility of the Future Leadership Forum features one and one-half days of discussions about the dynamic changes facing the utility industry and the paths that innovators have taken toward a sustainable energy future. Two CEO panels will explore the challenges of building the future utility in very different economic environments, while other panels will feature topics such as customers at the helm, sustainable power supply, and engaging customers in sustainability. Throughout the forum, there will be high-level networking opportunities to share perspectives, collaborate, and engage in dialog.
Senior executives are invited to join their peers in the Utility of the Future discussion to share ideas and discover opportunities that can help shape a more sustainable, reliable, profitable utility of the future. Register and learn more about the Utility of the Future Leadership Forum 2012.
