Legendary Sports Photographer Andrew D. Bernstein to Capture 30th Year of NBA Playoffs and 18th Year of L.A. Kings Playoffs

Photographer Andrew D. Bernstein to Cover L.A. Teams in NBA & NHL Playoffs in April

LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- No stranger to the professional sports teams that call the Staples Center home, legendary sports photographer Andrew D. Bernstein will capture his 30th year of NBA playoffs and his 18th year of L.A. Kings playoffs at the end of April.

"The energy and intensity during playoff games is unwavering, and it's a thrill to be able to capture the emotion and key moments of some of the world's top athletes," says Bernstein.

Having visually documented every Lakers playoff series that Kobe Bryant has played in, including the 2010 playoffs which resulted in the Lakers championship win and Bernstein's book documentary with former Lakers' Head Coach Phil Jackson Journey to the Ring: Behind the Scenes with the 2010 NBA Champions, Bernstein has built a unique rapport with leading athletes such as Bryant and excels in his field as a 30+ year veteran in sports photography.

Having been witness to the rise of the Clippers since their move to Los Angeles in 1984, this year is special for Bernstein and Los Angeles because Bernstein will not only photograph the Lakers but also the Clippers in the playoffs.

Since 1980, Bernstein has covered all 18 Kings NHL playoff series that the team has played in. The Kings were the first professional sports team that Bernstein photographed for and Bernstein says of capturing moments in hockey, "My biggest challenge is staying a split second ahead of the action."

Bernstein is available for interview or comment on his experiences photographing past NBA and NHL playoff games and his experiences with working with leading athletes.
