Full Circle Launches "Dinner's On Us" Sweepstakes in Bay Area

Leading Organic Produce Delivery Service Expands Northern California Presence With Donations to Local Food Banks and Giveaways. Prizes Include Personal Chef Dinner Party With Jordan's Kitchen and Dinners at Chez Panisse, Greens Restaurant

SAN FRANCISCO, May 14, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Previewing its upcoming expansion in the Bay Area, Full Circle, a leading organic produce delivery service, today launched Dinner's On Us, a sweepstakes celebrating local food and community. The Facebook-based sweepstakes is designed to support Bay Area food banks while introducing Full Circle's local & organic produce delivery service to consumers in the greater Bay Area.

"Full Circle believes changing the food system starts at home, and one of the easiest ways to make a difference is to think carefully about how your food is grown and where it comes from," said Andrew Stout, founder and CEO of Full Circle. "We've been working with dozens of California's top organic farmers for nearly a decade now, so we are very excited to be expanding our delivery service in the Bay Area."

Established in 1996 in Carnation, WA, Full Circle provides local and organically grown farm-fresh produce directly to over 18,000 members throughout Washington, California, Idaho and Alaska. Full Circle joined forces with Eating With the Seasons, a Bay Area organic food delivery concern, in October 2011, and will soon be expanding that presence to serve even more Northern California customers.

Through its Dinner's On Us Sweepstakes, for every "Like" received on its Facebook page Full Circle will donate one pound of organic produce to the San Francisco and Marin Food Banks, and the Alameda County Community Food Bank. In addition to supporting food banks, entrants will also be eligible to win one of the following:

  • Grand Prize – A gourmet dinner for eight prepared in-home by award-winning chef Jordan Schachter of Jordan's Kitchen (a $2,000 value)
  • 2nd Prize – Dinner for two at Chez Panisse or Greens Restaurant (10 winners)
  • Early Bird Giveaway – The first 1,000 people to enter the sweepstakes will receive two free boxes of Full Circle organic produce

The Dinner's On Us Sweepstakes is open now at facebook.com/FullCircleFarms. The sweepstakes ends at midnight on June 3, 2012.

"We are thrilled to see Full Circle extending their service in California and becoming an even bigger part of our expanding Bay Area organic food community," said Jordan Schachter, executive chef and founder of Jordan's Kitchen in San Francisco, CA. "As a chef dedicated to local, seasonal ingredients, I'm doing all I can to promote healthy and sustainable food systems and Full Circle is doing the same."

Full Circle has expanded beyond the traditional CSA (community support agriculture) model. The company now works with a large and growing network of family, local and regional farms to provide farm-fresh organic produce and artisanal groceries to members year-round. Grass-fed meat, cage-free eggs, no-hormone milk, and more can be added to any weekly delivery. In addition to serving neighborhood drop sites, Full Circle also provides weekly home produce delivery direct to member doorsteps in most service areas.
