COLUMBUS, OH--(Marketwire - May 31, 2012) - At the second annual TeamDynamixHE User Group Meeting held recently at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, Dianne Brotherson, systems analyst from Iowa State University was voted the new chairperson of the TeamDynamixHE Advisory Council (TAC). The TAC, which is composed of representatives from 15 higher education institutions, is the self-governed council that serves as the product governance committee for TeamDynamixHE, the leading project, portfolio and service management solution for the higher education market. Brotherson replaces outgoing chair Wonda Yuhasz from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Bart Prickett, director of IT support services at Columbus State Community College, was elected vice-chair and will provide continuity to the group as next year's chairman.
During the user group meeting, attendees representing Carnegie Mellon University, Columbus State Community College, Portland State University, Syracuse University, Virginia Tech, and University of New Hampshire, among others, learned about the latest features and benefits of the TeamDynamixHE Version 8 suite of software. The latest release includes a comprehensive Service Desk solution and new Data Everywhere reporting model that will help higher education IT departments quickly and easily access and share information.
"One of the key takeaways from the event is understanding the shift taking place from using PPM software solely to manage and track projects, to integrating operations, service desk management, reporting and other core tech functions that will help streamline IT," said Brotherson. "The past year TeamDynamix has seen tremendous growth, adding dozens of new higher education customers, many of which quickly become engaged in helping to shape the future of project management on campus and the TeamDynamixHE software. As a TeamDynamixHE user, I appreciate the attention to detail that TeamDynamix has put into developing a higher education-specific product. As a member of the TAC, I feel like I have the ear of the company and the support of a first-class development team constantly working to address both university-specific and industry needs. The interaction between the company and its users is refreshing and has resulted in a much stronger, targeted solution for our industry."
In addition to sessions on product features, attendees of the user group meeting heard presentations on Starting a Project Management Office, Managing Plans and Tasks Effectively, and Reporting.
"We appreciate the commitment that we have from our university customers and want to recognize those professionals that dedicate their time to supporting the TAC and sharing their experiences and best practices with the industry," said Aaron Crane, director of client services for TeamDynamix. "It is because of the constant interaction and support that we are successful. This year's user group meeting is further evidence of just how far we have come and how many opportunities are still in front of us. We want to thank Wonda for her service this past year and look forward to working with Dianne on continuing to evolve TeamDynamixHE and promote PPM across higher education."
