Frankfort Chiropractor Presents Fibromyalgia "Puzzle of Pain" Workshop

FRANKFORT, Ill., June 13, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Frankfort chiropractor, Dr. Scott Stratton of Advanced Chiropractic Wellness Center at 20500 S. LaGrange Road, will be holding a workshop about fibromyalgia and other chronic pain treatments at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19. The workshop is free and will take place at the clinic, but seating is limited to 20 people. Those interested in attending should call 815-531-1882 to reserve a seat. Dr. Stratton will discuss how he uses Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) treatments to help people who suffer from this painful chronic condition that causes aches throughout the body. He says that FSM has helped many patients experience rapid, long-term pain relief.

Dr. Stratton explains that fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that affects around 6 million people in America. "Scientists are still trying to understand the causes, and so far we haven't found a cure for it. What we have found, however, is something that can drastically alleviate the symptoms of pain associated with it. We have been using FSM at our clinic since November 2011 and we have seen patients literally get a new lease on life through FSM. These targeted microcurrents have successfully relieved the rampant back pain, neck pain, headaches, migraines and joint stiffness for many of our patients here and in Tinley Park and Mokena."

Dr. Stratton explains that FSM treatments involve treating injured or painful soft tissues with an electrical current that is so small that the patient cannot feel it. At the cellular level, however, research shows that FSM causes a great deal of activity. These tiny electrical impulses spur the cells' energy production mechanisms, causing them to flush out toxins and absorb more oxygen and nutrients. Studies indicate that this induces rapid cellular regeneration. Patients report that while this cellular activity is going on, their pain and inflammation levels dropped significantly.

In addition to fibromyalgia, Dr. Stratton has also used FSM to treat other injuries and forms of chronic pain at his clinic. Patients suffering from ailments such as carpal tunnel syndrome, sciatica, chronic back, neck and shoulder pain, myofascial pain, and tendon and ligament injuries have experienced relief from FSM treatment at his chiropractic center. Stratton says that specific microcurrent frequencies are indicated for different conditions. He also says that while FSM may not be appropriate for all patients, he urges people affected by this type of chronic pain to come to the workshop to find out more.

Stratton says that as a chiropractor, he focuses on natural, drug-free healing methods that stimulate wellness from within. "FSM is another natural option we provide patients—an option that doesn't include painkillers with their side effects. Our workshop is a great way for other people going through the same struggles to learn together how to overcome their pain naturally."

Dr. Scott Stratton opened Advanced Chiropractic Wellness Center in Frankfort in 1991 and uses spinal adjustments, nutritional counseling and several physiotherapy techniques to relieve pain. His website is http://www.drscottstratton.com.
