PITTSBURGH, June 29, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ChemImage Corporation announces the HSI Examiner 2.0 software upgrade for the HSI Examiner 100 QD used by examiners for forensic analysis of questioned documents will be released August 1st of this year. The new software release will provide improvements focused on usability as well as additional examination capabilities.
The HSI Examiner product allows users to non-destructively examine documents that are suspected of being fraudulent, forged, altered or counterfeit; due to the sensitivity of hyperspectral imaging to differences in inks.
"We are pleased to provide our customers with additional capabilities needed to do their jobs effectively and efficiently," said John S. Belechak, Chief Operating Officer and Forensics Line of Business Manager at ChemImage. "We continue to listen to the requests and feedback from our customers and value their input regarding likes, requests for modifications and additional features."
The HSI Examiner 2.0 software will provide many new and improved features including:
- A new workspace management tool allowing multiple images to be open at once for examination
- Side-by-side comparison of, up to four, live or previously stored images at the same time
- Image overlay tools to determine differences in images laid on top of each other
- Additional region of interest tools including point, line, circle, polygon and free form options
- Ability to save hyperspectral images as .AVI movie files to be used in courtroom presentations
Additionally, these new features will improve the users' overall experience as well as speed and accuracy of information, providing reliable and courtroom friendly results through hyperspectral imaging and processing.
