ALR Technologies Announces New Board Members

RICHMOND, VA--(Marketwire - Sep 4, 2012) -  ALR Technologies Inc. (OTCBB: ALRT) (the "Company"), a health information technology developer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alfonso M. Salas, M.D. and Kenneth J. Robulak to its Board of Directors.

Dr. Salas has extensive experience across the medical industry, including consulting, managing clinical trials, disease management and preventative services. He served as the Medical Director in the office of the Ministry of Social Security and Labor in Colombia and managed the Occupational Health department. Additionally, Dr. Salas was a consultant for El Prado Medical Clinic and private medical offices which provided services to private medical insurances as well as to the Province of Magdalena, Colombia. Presently, he operates his own business consulting corporations on budgets, research and medical services.

Dr. Salas received his medical degree with distinction from Universidad Metroplitana of Barranquilla, Colombia.

Mr. Robulak earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and F.I.C.B. (Fellow, Institute of Canadian Bankers) from the University of British Columbia. He worked in corporate and investment banking for 30 years and more recently worked as a consultant in the manufacturing industry. Currently, Mr. Robulak assists a Mexico-based company with its marketing in the United States through its office in Dallas.

Concurrent with the addition of the new board members, the Company also announces the retirement of Jaroslav V. Tichy, PhD, as Vice President of Technology and board member at ALR Technologies. Dr. Tichy will still serve as a consultant to the Company.
