CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 6, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq:TECD) today announced the launch of its TDCloud business unit, a team of cloud experts dedicated to supporting Tech Data's channel of over 60,000 resellers in the United States through education, enablement, and adoption of cloud and subscription-based services. Launched a year ago, TDCloud has evolved into a dedicated business unit under the leadership of 17-year Tech Data veteran Stacy Nethercoat, whose new title of Vice President, Software and Cloud Services, encompasses her increased scope of responsibility. TDCloud is powered by Tech Data's StreamOne platform, an automated technology that scales the business and operational scope associated with cloud and subscription services.

The TDCloud business unit will be led by Bharath Natarajan, who was recently appointed to Director, TDCloud and Software Services. Prior to joining Tech Data in 2006, he spent several years leading business and IT strategies in the healthcare, retail, software and value-add distribution verticals. Most recently, he served in a global IT role within Tech Data where he executed worldwide business strategies, including the development of the Company's StreamOne platform, specifically designed to address and draw cloud, hosted, and subscription models into the distribution channel. Natarajan will report to Nethercoat.
