CHARLOTTE, NC--(Marketwire - Sep 11, 2012) - Premier Alliance Group, Inc (
The scope of the project includes installation of control systems that will allow the safe and systematic shutdown of heavy facility equipment such as electric ovens, an electric autoclave, and vacuum pumps, as well as, manage air handling unit (AHU) fan speeds throughout the facility all based on pricing and performance signals from SCE. Premier Alliance has identified over $144,000 of incentives from SCE that will be applied towards enabling Auto-DR. Once installed and operational, SCE will be able to call upon this facility to voluntarily load shed up to 480 kW of electricity during peak usage periods.
"This is another big win for our Energy and Sustainability Division and a testament to the credibility and brand we have built in providing strategic services in the energy sector," stated Rob Davis, Vice President of Energy Services for Premier Alliance. "Through Southern California Edison's Auto-DR programs, we provide site assessment, feasibility studies, project development, engineering, and installations of enabling technologies. There are several benefits for our client once the demand response technology has been implemented. Not only will the installation generate cost savings, but the program will provide an additional revenue source when SCE calls upon them to shed the electrical load. Likewise the utility benefits as well from the management of energy consumption. We are uniquely positioned to work closely with the utility and customer differentiating ourselves from our competition. We believe that Premier has been positioned as a leader in this fast growing industry."
