GREENWICH, CT--(Marketwire - Sep 20, 2012) - Fieldpoint Private, the fast-growing wealth advisory and private banking firm serving ultra high net worth families and institutions, today announced that Susan Hirshman has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Senior Advisor in the firm's New York City offices.
She joins Fieldpoint Private from the consulting firm SHE Ltd., where she served as President, focusing on enhancing the financial literacy of women globally, and on helping financial advisors and their clients work more effectively together. In 2010, she authored the book, Does this Make My Assets Look Fat? - A Women's Guide to Finding Financial Empowerment and Success (St. Martin's Press). She has been a frequent speaker at wealth management conferences throughout the country, and her insights have appeared in such venues as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Forbes, CNN, CNBC, FOX and ABC.
Ms. Hirshman is a Certified Financial Analyst, Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™, and holds a Master in Business Administration with a concentration in taxation. "She brings a rare combination of credentials to Fieldpoint Private," said Robert S. Matthews, Fieldpoint Private President and CEO. "Susan has broken new ground in financial advice for women, and her deep and diverse professional education has equipped her well to advise on even the most complex, interconnected needs of wealthy women and families."
"Fieldpoint Private is the kind of firm my clients have been asking for for years," Ms. Hirshman said. "It has the agility of a boutique, the capabilities of a giant, and the objectivity of a firm that stubbornly refuses to place any interests ahead of those of its clients."
Prior to SHE Ltd., Ms. Hirshman was Managing Director in J.P. Morgan's Private Wealth Management group, and served as a Wealth Strategist within the firm's Funds Management group. She came to J.P. Morgan from KPMG, where she counseled corporate executives, families and business owners on their tax and personal financial planning issues.
