ATLANTA, Sept. 24, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Broc Rosser has been named president for CredAbility in Florida, the national nonprofit financial counseling organization announced today. In this newly-created role, Rosser will represent the agency statewide and be responsible for philanthropic and business relationships, high-level community partnerships and government and media relations. He will be based in the agency's Orlando office.
Rosser will also serve as the senior community development officer for Florida, overseeing community development officers in Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach. CredAbility is a family of Consumer Credit Counseling Service agencies, which have had a presence in Florida for nearly 40 years. The creation of this new position reflects the agency's commitment to strengthening its statewide impact.

Rosser has a wide range of management experience in nonprofit and government organizations. Most recently, he served as director in the Office of the President at the Heart of Florida United Way where he was responsible for public policy and government relations, implemented statewide advocacy campaigns and developed strategies for fundraising campaigns and other projects. Previously, he worked as a program manager for Orange County's Housing and Community Development Division where he helped manage more than $5 million in development funds. He's also worked as a city planner in the city of Orlando's Housing Department.
Rosser holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science and urban studies from Furman University and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Central Florida. He has been a member of the Neighborhood Grant Advisory board of directors since 2010 and has also served on the Gordon J Barnett Memorial Foundation board of directors. He is also a member of the Tiger Bay Club of Central Florida.
Rosser lives in Orlando. He is married and has two children.
