The new DA-2300 FlashDisk Database Accelerator, a "Purpose-Built" SSD-based product from Winchester Systems is designed to speed database and other random access applications. The unit clocks in (with 4 KB block size) at 73,000 sustained random IOPS, 213,000 sustained sequential IOPS with bursts from cache over 500,000 IOPS. The product speeds up database applications such as Oracle, SQLserver, SAP and MySQL by 2x to 25x.
