LIVERMORE, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 1, 2012) - From heavenly angel food to sinful red velvet cake, delectable desserts have served up inspiration for scrumptious wines from Cupcake Vineyards. From October 1 through December 31, 2012, winemaker Adam Richardson will appeal to fans to suggest a dessert and a label name to serve as his next muse in creating a new wine blend, encouraging fans to participate in the Cupcake Vineyards Share Deliciously Contest.
"Cupcake Vineyards is about great wines that work with food, friends and fun -- wines that help our loyal fans live deliciously," said Richardson. "We want to learn what our customers are craving when it comes time to indulge, and I'm looking forward to crafting a wine that will capture the flavor profile and nuances of the winning dessert."
Fans of the winery can participate in the Cupcake Vineyards Share Deliciously Contest using Instagram or Twitter. Three simple steps can earn one inspired individual a trip for two to Aspen, Colo., for the 2013 Food & Wine Classic:
1. Using a dessert as inspiration, suggest a name for a new Cupcake Vineyards wine.
2. Photograph the inspirational dessert.
3. Upload the photo to Instagram or Twitter, and include the suggested wine name, #NewCupcakeWine and @CupcakeVineyard in the caption.
Richardson and his team will select the winner. For more information about the Cupcake Vineyards Share Deliciously Contest, visit http://www.cupcakevineyard.com/sharedeliciously/ or find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/CupcakeVineyards.
