Kimmo Väkiparta – new President and CEO of BE Group

The Board of BE Group AB has appointed Kimmo Väkiparta the new President and CEO
of the company. Kimmo Väkiparta has experience in the steel industry and
previous positions include CEO of Ovako Bar and CEO of Fundia Special Bar.

”We are very pleased to announce Kimmo Väkiparta as the new President and CEO of
BE Group. Kimmo has extensive experience in the steel industry, which will be of
great value to the company”, says Chairman Anders Ullberg.

Kimmo Väkiparta is 46 years old and holds a Master of Science in Technical
Physics from Helsinki University of Technology and a PhD (Ing Tech) degree.

“I am proud to take over as President and CEO of a company with such experienced
employees and deep roots in the North European steel industry,” says Kimmo.

Kimmo Väkiparta will assume the position of President and CEO on November 1,
2012 and will, like his predecessor Roger Johansson also be Head of the Swedish
operations.
