BEDFORD, Mass., Oct. 18, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- SoundBite Communications, Inc. (Nasdaq:SDBT) today announced the election of Bill Geary to the board of directors. Mr. Geary succeeds Jamie Goldstein who resigned as of October 18, 2012.

Geary has been part of the North Bridge Venture Partners team since its founding almost two decades ago. Prior to North Bridge, Geary was a partner at Hambro International Equity Partners. Earlier in his career, Geary gained his corporate experience serving as Chief Financial Officer of MathSoft, an applications software start-up that subsequently went public on the NASDAQ and was later acquired by Parametric Technology Corporation.
In addition to joining the SoundBite board, Geary serves on the boards of directors of several private companies. Geary is the former Chair of the Board of Trustees of Boston College, his alma mater, and currently serves on the Investment & Endowment Committee of Boston College, on the Advisory Board of the Children's Hospital Boston Technology Fund, and he and his wife are Chairs of the Parents Committee of Duke University.
Bill Geary is a graduate of Boston College and received his undergraduate degree at Boston College's Carroll School of Management.
