New Veterinarian Joins Central Animal Hospital in Scarsdale


SCARSDALE, N.Y., Oct. 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Central Animal Hospital in Scarsdale, NY announced that veterinarian Dr. Alison Abramson will be joining the veterinary hospital. Dr. Abramson will work part-time providing wellness care for companion animals and exotics. Dr. Abramson is a 2003 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she completed an internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York City and later joined the Park East Animal Hospital. The Scarsdale exotics vets and veterinary care team are proud to welcome Dr. Abramson to the practice.

Scarsdale pet owners will soon see a new face at Central Animal Hospital. Veterinarian Dr. Michael Woltz, the director of Central Animal Hospital, announced that the practice is welcoming a new, part-time vet.

Dr. Alison Abramson, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School Veterinary Medicine, has joined the veterinary hospital in Scarsdale. A long-time animal lover and experienced veterinarian, she joins the practice's exotic vets in providing care for not only companion animals, but also birds and exotics.

Prior to joining Central Animal Hospital, Dr. Abramson worked at Park East Animal Hospital in New York City. She completed an internship with Animal Medical Center, which is also located in New York City. During her internship, Dr. Abramson focused her studies on exotics, surgery, oncology and ophthalmology. Pet in Scarsdale will now benefit from Dr. Abramson's extensive experience and diverse vet care background.

At Central Animal Hospital, Dr. Abramson will be working alongside the exotic vets to provide care for reptiles and avian pets. She will also provide routine wellness care and pet surgery for dogs and cats. The veterinary hospital in Scarsdale and exotic vets provide comprehensive pet care services, including pet vaccinations, pet surgery and pet boarding.

Central Animal Hospital is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). Only 15 percent of animal hospitals in North America meet AAHA's stringent standards for accreditation.
