NCC builds Angered Hospital for SEK 400 million

NCC Construction Sweden has been commissioned to construct Angered Hospital,
Sweden’s first newly built community hospital. The client is Västfastigheter and
the project will be conducted on a partnering basis. The order is valued at
about SEK 400 million and will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2012.
Planning and preparations are well underway ahead of the start of construction,
which is expected to commence at the beginning of 2013.

Angered Hospital is scheduled for completion in 2015 and will comprise an area
of 18,000 square meters. In addition to specialist clinics and operating
theaters, the building will also house a district health centre. The building’s
design and layout is the result of an innovative approach that is based on the
patient and cooperation between areas of treatment.

increase the public benefit in the north east of Gothenburg,” says Fredrik

buildings since it allows a process in which decisions about technical care
solutions can be made closer to the opening date and gives us secure control

structured form of cooperation whereby the property developer, consultants and
contractors jointly solve a construction task, based on transparent and
trustworthy cooperation. At its peak, some 45 people will be employed in the
project and the order will be registered in the fourth quarter of 2012.
