ORLANDO, FL., Dec. 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Bragging rights were at stake last week at the fourth annual FM3 Kart Enduro race hosted by FM3 Performance Marketing. In conjunction with the annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show in Orlando, fourteen teams competed in the 95-minute endurance kart race on Nov. 29, bringing together big aftermarket names such as QA1 Shocks, Royal Purple, K&N Filters and Centerforce Clutches.
In the end, Red Line Oil crossed the finish line first, followed by RePlay XD 15.3 seconds later. Third place went to Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords, who crossed the finish line after another 47.3 seconds. The teams ran 79 laps reaching speeds up to 50 mph at the Orlando Kart Center, a world class outdoor track that runs a half mile long with 8 turns. Each team was made up of four members and each competitor was required to drive at least once. The teams were also required to make at least three separate pit stops.
"Our annual Kart Enduro is an opportunity for race parts manufacturers and enthusiasts to come out, be competitive and have some fun with each other," said FM3 president, Jimi Day. "The competitors enjoy breaking out of the tradeshow walls to hang out and network in an unofficial setting."
