FFTW Strengthens Multi-Sector Fixed Income Capabilities


CHICAGO, IL and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Feb 28, 2013) -  Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, Inc. (FFTW), the US and global fixed income partner of BNP Paribas Investment Partners, is pleased to announce the hiring of two senior multi-sector fixed income specialists. Dominick DeAlto joins as the Head of Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income responsible for FFTW's global aggregate, US core and US core plus capabilities. He will also lead the Sector Rotation team, a key alpha source for the multi-sector capabilities. Timothy Johnson joins as Head of Global Sovereign Fixed Income in charge of managing FFTW's global sovereign portfolios. Timothy will also be a member of FFTW's Global Rates Alpha team. Both Dominick and Timothy will be based in New York and will report to Guy Williams, Chief Investment Officer of FFTW.

Biographies

Dominick DeAlto - Dominick is the Head of Global Multi-Sector Fixed Income and Sector Rotation for FFTW and is responsible for performance, growth and development of multi-sector (with credit) capabilities firm wide as well as determining sector allocation trades to generate alpha for all of the firm's portfolios. Prior to joining FFTW, Dominick was the Head of Investment Strategy and Product Development for Deutsche Asset Management. Before that, he was Head of Fixed Income (Americas) for Robeco, Weiss Peck & Greer Investment Management where he oversaw the management of US and global fixed income assets. Prior to Robeco, Dominick held various fixed income portfolio manager positions the longest of which was with J.P. Morgan Asset Management and its predecessor Chase Asset Management. Dominick began his career as a credit analyst at Chase Securities Inc. He has over 23 years of investment experience. Dominick earned his BS in economics from State University of New York, SUNY - Oneonta (1987). He is a member of the New York Society of Securities Analysts.

Timothy Johnson - Timothy is the Head of Global Sovereign Fixed Income for FFTW and is responsible for performance, growth and development of global sovereign and sovereign-only strategies firm wide. He is also a member of the Global Rates Alpha Team. Prior to joining FFTW, Timothy was a Portfolio Manager on the Investment Grade Credit/Long Duration Team for BlackRock. Before that, he worked in various functions at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, as a Senior Fixed Income Analyst, Head of Domestic Capital Markets, and thereafter, on secondment as a Euro Reserve Portfolio Manager for De Nederlandsche Bank. Timothy started his career as an Asset-Liability Management Analyst/Credit Analyst at AllFirst Bank. He has 18 years of investment experience. Timothy earned his BA in economics and MBA in finance, both from the University of Maryland (1992). He also has a Master of Public Policy from Duke University (1997).
