The new Niagara 32710-TX NIC follows the Niagara 32710 10Gb fiber bypass NIC to complete the dual port 10G bypass offering and provides PCI-e Gen 2 (5 GT/s) support and 100/1000/10Gbps auto-negotiation capabilities. The Niagara 32710-TX also offers specialized features including IPSec & MACsec Security Engines, DCB with IEEE 1588 time stamping at 12.5W operation and power management.
The Niagara 32710-TX low-profile, dual port 10GBASE-T server adapter card with bypass is designed for high-availability server applications that demand premium performance and maximum uptime. The bypass feature, upon power failure or power loss, allows network traffic to continue by re-routing traffic from the transmit port directly to the receive port. This creates a closed loop that bypasses the down appliance, ensuring that network uptime is maintained.
