HERNDON, Va., March 4, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), the only national laboratory exclusively dedicated to the advancement of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies from concept to commercial application, has selected Privia, LLC to provide the organization with an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system.
Under the contract, Privia will implement SpringCM's content cloud services as the core platform to automate NREL's publications collaboration and approval process and provide access to documents via a searchable database. The laboratory processes approximately 4,000 papers, reports, articles, brochures and other materials annually. The majority of these works are eventually published and stored in the NREL Publications Database.
"NREL is pioneering the way in content management best practices," said Glenn Giles, President and CEO of Privia. "We are pleased to play a significant role in this important, enterprise-wide initiative."
"Every day we're tackling content challenges for some of the world's most demanding businesses and public agencies," said Greg Buchholz, Founder and Chief Operating Officer, SpringCM. "One big challenge is old-school, legacy ECM systems that stall progress – especially in public agencies working aggressively to implement critical initiatives. We're thrilled to count Privia as a key partner in the public sector, and we're excited to team with them to help NREL put content to work.
