Constructech Names Two Aconex Solutions as 2013 Commercial Top Products

Aconex Online Collaboration Platform and Aconex Field Take Honors

SAN BRUNO, CA--(Marketwire - Mar 5, 2013) - Aconex, provider of the world's most widely used online project collaboration solutions for the construction, infrastructure, power, mining, and oil and gas industries, has had two products recognized by Constructech Magazine as 2013 Top Products in the commercial sector. The Aconex Online Collaboration Platform was named in the category of Trusted Products, while Aconex Field was named in the New Products category.

Selection criteria for the winning products included overall usefulness, uniqueness to the construction industry, and customer growth rate. The winners were announced by Constructech earlier today and will be featured in the magazine's March/April 2013 issue.

Mike Carrozzo, chief editor of Constructech, said: "We have reached a point in construction technology where words like mobile, BIM, and collaboration are no longer buzzwords. They are key, in-demand processes that contractors must implement in order to stay relevant. The 2013 commercial Top Products can meet these demands, and give construction companies the ability to enhance their business."

The Aconex Online Collaboration Platform provides a secure, centralized system for comprehensive project information management. The system ensures that all project team members follow the same workflows and processes, and that all project documents, drawings, models, communications, and correspondence are managed in one place. Project data is captured online -- anytime, anywhere via mobile or web access -- and maintained in a permanent audit trail. The result is higher quality, lower risk, and significant time and cost savings for owners, developers, contractors, and project managers.

Aconex Field is a mobile and web-based solution for field inspections and issues management. Contractors use the product to inspect completed work, identify defects or other issues, and assign corrective rework to the appropriate subcontractors. Using tablets and smartphones in the field, project team members can capture photos and images, add mark-ups, and follow up on actions and deadlines. This accelerates the process of resolving issues, closing out inspections and delivering high-quality projects on schedule and within budget.
