'Wiesenthal' One-Man Play Actor/Playwright Tom Dugan to Inspire March of the Living Los Angeles Participants on Holocaust Remembrance


LOS ANGELES, March 13, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- To inspire BJE March of the Living orientation participants for their upcoming Holocaust Remembrance Day silent tribute and 3K march between Auschwitz and Birkenau, Nazi death camps located in Poland, playwright, actor and Drama Critics Circle Award-winner Tom Dugan will present scenes from 'Wiesenthal,' a one-man play that chronicles the life of Holocaust survivor Simon Wiesenthal, to over 160 local Jewish teens and their families during the BJE March of the Living Parent Orientation on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 from 8:15 to 9 p.m. at Adat Ari El Synagogue located at 12020 Burbank Blvd. in the Valley Village neighborhood of Los Angeles, CA.

At the close of Dugan's performance, the 162 teen participants, 19 Builders of Jewish Education staff members and 10 Holocaust survivors from the Los Angeles-area will join Dugan on stage, will be covered with a large prayer shawl and will be blessed as they embark on their journey of remembrance.

Dugan's presentation will emphasize the importance of remembrance through highlighting a scene from 'Wiesenthal' when the famed "Nazi Hunter" recalls those lost during the Holocaust. Says Dugan as 'Wiesenthal', in his performance, "When I meet the victims in the next world, I want to tell them I never forgot them."
